Acadiana Sportsmen's League
The Acadiana Sportsmen’s League is a local nonprofit affiliate of the Louisiana and National Wildlife Federations. The organization is an education, conservation and environmental oriented group whose primary goals are youth education and to assure wise conservation of all of our valuable wildlife and natural resources. The ASL fully supports our 2nd amendment rights and stands against any organization that would threaten our rights to enjoy indoor and outdoor sporting activities.
The ASL meets on the first Wednesday of each month. Our meeting locations alternate between Rayne and Crowley with plans to hold meetings in other cities as our membership continues to grow. Meals are served at all meetings. Meeting topics are seasonal with guest speakers from various organizations including LDWF, NWTF, Ducks Unlimited, Delta Waterfowl, etc.
The ASL hosts, at various events, Kids Casting Contest, Kid Fishing Tournament, Hunter Education courses, Air Gun Competitions and kids skeet shoot. These events are fully funded by the ASL with its sponsors and are at no cost to the kids. Adult events include Annual Officer and Board Member Hunt, Annual Fishing Tournament, Family Day and an Annual Banquet.
